This Implementation Guideline covers the various aspects of a correct wire representation in the VEC for different scenarios and variants of wires. It covers both multi cores and single cores.

Wire In the VEC wires are defined through a WireSpecification, regardless of their type. This means, for all types of wires (e.g. normal single core, multi core or coax wires) the same structure is used to describe them.

Compatibility A CompatibilitySpecification is a container for various CompatibilityStatements. Each CompatibilityStatement can reference dedicated elements in order to state compatibility (in case of the attribute hasCompatibility is true) respectively in order to state non-compatibility (in case of the attribute hasCompatibility is false).
